More controls in 2025
The City Council has pointed out that 2024 has been a key year in the implementation of stricter controls, thanks to the modification of the municipal ordinance that allowed for increased surveillance and stiffer fines. Looking ahead to 2025, the intention is to further intensify inspections in order to move towards a cleaner and more sustainable city. Complaints for not picking up pet excrement amounted to 1,440 euros, while the abandonment of waste excluded from municipal management generated 14,407 euros in penalties. On the other hand, fines for dumping wastewater and other polluting liquids totaled 1,520 euros, highlighting the importance of avoiding contamination of public roads and water.
Citizen tools: the green line
The City Council has recalled the usefulness of the green line, a service that allows citizens to report incidents or infractions related to cleanliness. This tool has become a fundamental pillar to promote collaboration between authorities and neighbors in the construction of a cleaner and safer city.
