On the afternoon of Sunday, December 29, a fire in a wooden hut located in the torrent behind the LIDL, in Sant Antoni, Sant Antoni. Sant Antoniactivated the emergency teams of the island. The fire, which started around 13:40 hours, was extinguished without personal injury, thanks to the rapid intervention of the emergency services.

A rapid and coordinated response

The Fire Department of Ibiza, Civil Protection of Sant Antoni, the Local Police and the Civil Guard went to the scene after receiving the alert through the Emergency Service 112. According to the firefighters, the wooden structure housed several objects inside and was partially consumed by the flames.

The Ibiza Fire Department sent a fire engine and a team composed of a corporal and three firefighters, while Civil Protection collaborated with two volunteers and a specialized vehicle. Thanks to their intervention, the fire was completely extinguished at 14:30 hours, preventing the flames from spreading.

A reminder for prevention

Following this incident, local authorities have called for extreme caution in wooden structures and areas near streams. They also recalled the importance of immediately contacting 112 at any sign of fire to ensure an agile and effective response.
