The Governing Board of the Consell de Formentera has approved this Monday the stabilization of 138 positions in various sectors of the administration, in a key step to reduce the temporary employment in the institution.
The Consell has informed that the measure will allow more than 130 public employees to consolidate their positions through a competitive examination system. This stabilization, which affects positions in key sectors, will be implemented next year and is part of the commitment to ensure greater job stability in the island administration.
Positions to be stabilized and union consensus
Among the positions highlighted, the process includes the stabilization of 24 administrative assistant positions, 14 family workers and social and health care assistants, and a dozen in the area of cleaning staff. According to the institution, the list of positions has been agreed with the internal unions, although the urgency of the process did not allow this matter to be discussed at the negotiating table.
Regularization of the OEP
The new government team of the Consell also detected that the Public Employment Offer (OEP) had not been signed by the previous president, Llorenç Córdoba. With this approval, the administration ensures that the process complies with the regulations in force and will allow stabilizing the affected positions.
Objective: to reduce temporary employment
This plan responds to the objective of reducing the high temporality in the public administration. The system will allow employees to consolidate their positions as permanent staff, reinforcing labor stability in the Consell and improving the efficiency of public services in Formentera.
