Formentera is ready to receive Melchior, Gaspar and Balthasar this Sunday, January 5 in a parade that promises to dazzle young and old. The route will begin at 4:30 pm at the Far de la Mola, from where the Three Wise Men will move around the island, bringing illusion and magic to every urban center.
A tour full of magic
After their arrival at La Mola, the procession will continue to Sant Ferran, where Their Majesties are expected to arrive around 6 pm. Afterwards, the parade will pass through La Savina before concluding in Sant Francesc at around 8 pm. At each stop, the company Acrobati-K will animate the arrival of the Kings with shows that will add a unique touch to the celebration.
A sustainable and inclusive Cavalcade
The Consell de Formentera, in collaboration with the Associació Reis Mags, has designed a parade inspired by elements of the universe, such as the Moon, the Sun and the stars, representing the different moments of the day and starry nights of the island. The decoration, by the company Filigrana Urbana, has been made with reusable and recycled materials, prioritizing sustainability. To make this experience inclusive, the stretch between Can Gavinu and the traffic circle of the Plaça de la Constitució will be done without lights or music, allowing people with sensory hypersensitivity to enjoy the magic in a calm and quiet environment.
Special visits
Before the big parade, the Three Wise Men brought forward their arrival to visit the Residència de Majors and the Centre de Dia, where they delivered gifts to the residents. Accompanied by the first vice-president of the Consell, Verónica Castelló, and the councilors Cristina Costa and Eva Nieto, Their Majesties brought joy and endearing moments to the elderly of the island.
