On the afternoon of Saturday, January 4, the Firefighters of Ibiza carried out a rescue operation in the area of AllĆ Dins, in the municipality of Sant Joan, after receiving the warning of three hikers who had become disoriented and trapped in an area of bardisses outside the established path. The incident occurred around 19:30 hours, and the hikers, although unharmed, found themselves in a complicated situation due to the dense vegetation and lack of visibility in the area.
Rescue operation
The rescue team was composed of five firefighters, a caporal and a specialized vehicle from the Vertical Rescue Group (GRV). The professionals were able to locate the group, carefully guiding them to safety.
Caution on excursions
This rescue highlights the importance of carefully planning hiking routes and carrying the proper equipment, especially in areas of difficult access such as Sant Joan. In addition, it is recommended to inform someone of the planned route and always maintain a communication device in case of emergency.
