The Guardia Civil has quickly solved a case of theft in Sant Antoni that put the neighbors on alert. A 26-year-old young man has been identified and arrested as the person responsible for stealing a jacket and 260 euros in cash from inside a delivery van. The incident took place last Thursday, January 9, when the delivery driver, busy unloading goods for a local establishment, was surprised by the theft.

The victim immediately went to the Guardia Civil of Sant Antoni, where she filed a complaint detailing what happened and providing a precise description of the suspect. According to the victim, the individual took advantage of a moment of carelessness to enter the cab of the vehicle and take her personal belongings along with the money. With this information, the agents launched a search operation in the area, aware of the need to act quickly to locate the perpetrator before he could flee or dispose of the loot.
The identification that closed the case
A few hours later, a patrol on public safety patrol in the same locality spotted a man whose appearance fully matched the description given by the delivery man. After stopping him for identification, the officers verified that he was the perpetrator of the theft. They immediately proceeded to arrest him and took him to the police station to complete the corresponding proceedings.
