National Police close to Dalt Vila: major anti-drug operation in Ibiza

Agents of the National Police of Ibiza took to the streets of Dalt Vila on Thursday morning, according to Televisió d’Eivissa i Formentera in its evening news, in an operation against drug trafficking.

At the moment, the number of detainees and the substances seized in the house searches carried out since Thursday morning in the streets of the historic district of the city of Ibiza is unknown.

The spectacular operation, in which dozens of agents took part, lasted until midday. The operation, according to TEF Notícies, is under the secrecy of the summary. It is the result of investigations by the Unit against Crime and Organized Crime (Udyco) of the Ibiza police station. In the agents’ sights was one of the drug clans of Ibiza and that distributed narcotics throughout the island.
