Dalt Vila is one of the areas of Spain preferred by foreigners looking for luxury properties, above 1.5 million euros, according to data from the real estate portal Idealista.
This sector of Ibiza ranks seventh in the list released, behind Costa dels Pins (Son Servera, Mallorca), Port d’Andratx and Cala Murada (Manacor, Mallorca); and followed by Santanyí and Capdepera (Mallorca). The municipality of Sant Josep is in 14th place, with 63.3% of foreign demand. While Cala de Bou (22nd position) accounts for 62% of foreign demand. In fact, of the 30 areas (including districts, neighborhoods and towns) with a foreign demand of over 60%, 14 of them, almost half, are in the Balearic archipelago. Within these 30 locations, the Idealista study has also analyzed the origin of this significant interest in the demand for luxury homes from abroad.
Germans are the pre-eminent nationality among these areas with the highest demand for luxury homes among foreigners and are interested in the Balearics.
The Dutch, on the other hand, although they are also looking for luxury homes in the Balearic Islands, have a greater preference for locations in Alicante. Meanwhile, the Swiss focus on the Balearic coast and the Poles are divided between Alcúdia (Mallorca) and other locations on the peninsular coast. In the Balearic Islands, it should be noted, the interest of North American buyers is also growing.
