Can Lluc Hotel Rural de Ibiza has been nominated in the Mencey Futurista de Honor Awards 2025 as “Most Exclusive Independent Tourist Establishment in Spain“, whose winners will be announced on Monday, February 17 after a voting process.
In this context, Lucas Prats, one of the owners of the hotel, received the diploma of the nomination on Wednesday at Banco Sabadell’s stand 8 at the International Tourism Fair (Fitur), which is being held in Madrid. “The fact that you are placed among four establishments in all of Spain is a joy. That they talk about you and that they speak well, we are all happy. It is a bit of recognition for almost 30 years of work and a good team. So it is a satisfaction,” Prats told La Voz de Ibiza.
Can Lluc Hotel Rural will compete against Hotel Lobby Rooms & Suites (Seville, Andalusia), Castilla Termal Monasterio de Valbuena (Valbuena del Duero, Castilla y León) and Royal River, Luxury Hotel (Tenerife, Canary Islands). “Let’s see if we get lucky,” says Prats. In addition, he remarked that the awards are “recognized and of a good level, by the entities that participate, including the central government, Canary Islands. It is already a pride to be nominated. “A recognition is always a joy and a desire for the establishment and for all the people who work with us. Just by the fact of being there, we have already won. After that of the four is only one, I do not want to say that it is irrelevant but anyone can win,” he said. On the other hand, he said that this nomination gives “encouragement for the season ahead”. Regarding the expectations for next summer, Prats said that “they are very good”.
“I don’t have a perfect comparison from last year, but we are getting good bookings coming in and we already have three groups confirmed to fill our entire hotel in mid-March, another in early April and the last one at the end of May. We expect to have an excellent season,” he said.
