The Santa Eulària Town Hall has informed that the works on Sant Llorenç street aim to improve accessibility and modernize this key road in the municipality. The works, awarded to the company Hermanos Parrot for a value of 489,226.38 euros, will include a series of actions that seek to make the infrastructure more functional and sustainable. Among the planned improvements are the renovation of the sanitation, water and lighting infrastructures, as well as the burying of the power lines.
Architectural barriers that hinder pedestrian traffic will also be removed and a new irrigation system will be installed to optimize water consumption. The sidewalks, pavement and street furniture will also be renovated.
Temporary changes in traffic
The estimated duration of the works is four months, during which time there will be traffic modifications. The section of the street Teniente Coronel Costa Ribas, between Sant Jaume and Sant Josep streets, will become a one-way street going up towards Margarita Ankermann. However, the upper section, between Historiador Clapés and Margarita Ankermann streets, will maintain the usual two-way traffic. These alterations affect one of the busiest roads in the municipality, since Sant Llorenç street crosses the town center until it connects with the Paseo Marítimo, where the entrance to the marina and the tourist boat embarkation area are located.
A broader accessibility plan
This intervention is part of the municipal works plan worth 1.5 million euros to improve accessibility in Santa Eulària. According to the official statement, these actions seek to ensure mobility and modernize key infrastructures, making the municipality a more comfortable and adapted space for both residents and visitors.
