Ibiza firefighters have intervened this morning in a fire in a five-storey building located on Carrer de Londres, in Sant Antoni. As reported, the fire started in the kitchen of an apartment located on the third floor and caused an intense spread of smoke through the staircase and the entrance of the building. One person has been intoxicated by smoke inhalation and has been treated at the scene by the emergency services of SAMU 061.

Extinction and deployed device
After a rapid intervention, the firefighters managed to extinguish the fire using a water line and ventilate both the staircase and the affected house. The operation involved a fire engine, an autoescala, a foreman and five firefighters, as well as members of the Local Police and the Civil Guard. In the images shared by the Ibiza Fire Department, the affected building can be seen, with smoke coming out of the windows of the third floor. Another photograph shows firefighters equipped with oxygen masks, working in low visibility conditions due to the smoke. The incident, which took place at around 11:16 a.m., quickly mobilized the emergency services, preventing the flames from spreading to other parts of the building.
