An accident took place last Saturday night on the road to the Can Escandell quarry, when a Hyundai Santa Fe suffered an erratic trajectory that led it to fall into a ditch, overturning on its left side, the driver’s side. Fortunately, no personal injuries were reported.
The incident mobilized two roadside rescue teams from Grúas Ibiza, who went to the scene at around 12 noon on Sunday to perform rescue maneuvers. With the help of a boom crane, the vehicle was lifted from the drop of approximately one and a half meters deep. After being recovered, the Hyundai Santa Fe was moved to a safe place where it was unlocked for inspection and towing. Authorities recommend extreme caution when driving on uneven roads to avoid this type of incident.
