Ibiza Firefighters have managed to control a fire in the airport area that had raised alarms and has burned a truck. “We have just finished extinguishing a truck fire. The vehicle was completely burned and also affected some utensils around”, has communicated Ibiza Firefighters through his account in X.
A non-commissioned officer, a corporal and five firefighters, as well as a nurse, participated in the operation. The Police of Sant Josep, the Civil Guard and the Emergency Service 112 have also collaborated. The dense column of black smoke in the vicinity of the airport was already visible during the early hours of the afternoon. From different parts of the island it was possible to see the dark cloud, whose cause is still unknown. The smoke began to spread strongly around 3 p.m. in the area of the traffic circle in the airport area. “Something is happening behind Trablisa, on the airport road,” a witness alerted La Voz de Ibiza from the scene.
