The Guardia Civil has arrested a 46-year-old man in Sant Josep for an alleged crime against public health, after locating narcotic substances in his vehicle during an intervention related to an attempted robbery. The incident occurred when a Civil Guard patrol went to a home in Sant Josep after a security alarm was activated. According to the authorities, the home appeared to have been the object of an attempted break-in, but at the time of the agents’ arrival there was no one inside.
As part of the investigation, officers conducted an inspection of the area to identify possible perpetrators of the attempted robbery. In this process, they found a vehicle parked near the house with a man inside, which raised suspicions.
Discovery of illegal substances
Upon identifying the occupant of the vehicle and inspecting the car, the agents found a transparent bag containing approximately 180 grams of marijuana and an acorn of hashish. In view of this evidence, they proceeded to arrest the driver, who was charged with a crime against public health. At the moment, the authorities have not disclosed whether the detainee is linked to the attempted robbery of the house, but it is expected that the ongoing investigations will yield more details on the case.
