The high season in Ibiza is shaping up with a more cautious market than usual. Hotel pre-sales are showing signs of slowing down, especially in Playa d’en Bossa, where bookings from July to September in five-star hotels are facing a negative trend.
However, in Santa Eulària des Riu, the situation is different, with a significant growth in the number of nights booked and a 6% increase in average rates, according to data presented by Booking at Fitur 2025. Data compiled by DEXI indicate that Playa d’en Bossa, despite maintaining high prices with average rates of 100 euros more than Santa Eulària, is the most conservative area in terms of rate evolution. This contrasts with the positive upturn in Santa Eulària, less dependent on the British market and with better performance in the family segment. In Sant Antoni, although high-end accommodations (4 and 5 stars) are performing better, budget hotels, hostels and apartments are facing greater difficulties. Families and solo travelers are significantly increasing their presence on the island, while groups are in decline.

The market, expectant but not alarmed
According to several tour operators consulted by La Voz de Ibiza at Fitur, the market is showing a certain sluggishness and is below last year’s level.
However, this pause in pre-sales is no cause for alarm, as it has not yet reached the point of having to reduce prices. The perception in the premium segment and in high value-added products continues to be positive, with better results than last year at Concept Hotel Group, according to CEO Diego Calvo. In addition, the Italian market and countries such as Switzerland, Germany and Austria are growing at double-digit rates, which adds diversity to the profile of visitors.

Booking’s report indicates that while the average length of stay continues to shorten, with growth in bookings of less than six nights, this behavior appears to be driven by higher rates and a greater supply of luxury accommodations.
