The Ibiza Town Hall has announced the temporary suspension of bulky waste and commercial cardboard collection services during the holidays of December 6, 7 and 8, coinciding with the Constitution and Immaculate Conception long weekend. The measure will affect both individuals and businesses that regularly use these municipal services.
As reported by the Consistory, during these dates there will be no neighborhood collection of bulky items, a service that allows the removal of items such as furniture, appliances or household items that can not be deposited in the usual containers.
Specific restrictions by neighborhood and time of day
The City Council reminds citizens that the established schedules must be respected to avoid undue accumulations on public roads. In this regard:
-
No bulky waste may be deposited on Friday afternoon, the 5th, in the downtown area, as there will be no collection the following day.
-
It will not be allowed to deposit them on Sunday 7th in the areas of Can Sifre, Cas Serres, Can Sant, Ca n’Escandell and Can Cantó, due to the suspension of the festive service.
-
The Consistory insists that it is forbidden in any case to deposit bulky waste on Saturday nights, a usual rule that remains unchanged.
Affecting also commercial paperboard
The service interruption also extends to the collection of commercial cardboard, so establishments should save the cardboard generated during these days and wait for the resumption of service on the usual schedule.
