Mare Nostrum, the Pitiusa risk prevention company born with the pandemic, has doubled its turnover over the last year. Its expansion to Madrid, in addition to the offices already opened in Zaragoza and Formentera, has helped to raise the amount of its business from 930,000 euros in 2022 to 1,671,880.45 last year.“We are doing a good job with which we are gaining more and more people’s trust,” says Ignacio Barrios, the company’s founder. In fact, prevention, occupational safety and engineering activities for private companies account for almost 90 percent of the company’s overall turnover. The remaining 10 percentcorresponds to public institutions that have already trusted in Mare Nostrum’s services. This is the case of the Madrid City Council, the Balearic Government, the Generalitat Valenciana, the Ministry of Justice, the National Securities Market Commission and the Tax Agency itself. Ignacio Barrios is a technical architect and, since he created the company three years ago, it currently has about thirty employees.
