The National Police has opened an investigation following a report of an alleged sexual assault that occurred last Friday in the neighborhood of ses Figueretes, in Ibiza.
The victim, a young woman with functional diversity, went to the police station to report the attack, which has activated the action protocol of the police force.
Ongoing research
Following the complaint, the woman was taken to Can Misses Hospital, where a forensic doctor performed an examination to assess her condition. Although the authorities have not officially confirmed all the details, initial information suggests that the victim was assaulted with an object, possibly a bottle.
The agents of the Unit of Attention to the Family and Women (UFAM) are leading the investigation. They are looking for the four alleged perpetrators of the attack, as reported by Diario de Ibiza.
At this moment, evidence is being analyzed and testimonies are being gathered to help clarify what happened and find those responsible.
No arrests for the moment
Although the investigation is ongoing, no arrests have been made so far. The National Police is keeping all lines of work open to identify the suspects and has requested the collaboration of citizens to provide any information that may be relevant to the case.
The authorities have insisted on the importance of reporting any situation of gender violence or sexual aggression and have reminded that there are support resources for victims on the island.
