The City Council of Santa Eulària des Riu has incorporated since Tuesday, December 16, about twenty workers thanks to the implementation of the mixed programs SOIB Jove Administració Jove 4 and SOIB 30 Santa Eulària Neta 6. Both initiatives are part of the program SOIB Formació en Alternança en el Sector Públic Instrumental d’Entitats Locals i el Tercer Sector d’Acció Social 2025-2026.
These projects are financed by funds from the Sectorial Conference of Employment and Labor Affairs and can count on the co-financing of the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), within the ESF Plus Program of the Balearic Islands 2021-2027. The City Council also contributes with municipal facilities, its own personnel and material resources to guarantee the correct development of the programs.
Training and employment in the administrative field
The SOIB Jove Administració Jove 4 program is aimed at 10 young people between 16 and 30 years old and combines theoretical training and work experience in the administrative field. During one year, the participants will study the professional certificate of grade C of Auxiliary Operations of Administrative and General Services.
At the same time, the student-workers will develop their professional activity in a remunerated manner in different municipal offices, which will allow them to acquire real experience in the public administration.
Reinforcement of municipal cleaning services
For its part, the SOIB 30 Santa Eulària Neta 6 program is aimed at 10 people over 30 years old. In this case, participants will obtain the professional certificate of grade C of Cleaning of surfaces and furniture in buildings and premises.
For six months, the personnel will have a paid job, performing cleaning tasks in different areas of the City Hall. Both programs also include complementary training in areas such as IT and conflict resolution, aimed at improving the employability of the participants.
Institutional welcome at the City Hall
To kick off this new edition, the mayoress of Santa Eulària, Carmen Ferrer, accompanied by municipal and SOIB representatives, welcomed the participants in a ceremony held in the Plenary Hall of the Consistory. During the meeting, the contracts were signed and the institutional support was conveyed to the new recruits.
Commitment to employability and vocational training
With the implementation of these programs, the City Council of Santa Eulària reaffirms its commitment to professional development and improving the employability of citizens. These initiatives offer an opportunity to acquire new skills, strengthen professional qualifications and advance in the career path through a quality training and practical experience.
In addition, this call applies the new Vocational Training Law, which modernizes and reorganizes the vocational training system. Thanks to this regulation, the qualifications obtained by the participants are now officially recognized as Vocational Training qualifications, reinforcing their academic and professional value.
