A 49-year-old male resident of Ibiza was seriously injured this Sunday night after being hit by a car at high speed in the vicinity of the exit of Ibiza towards Sant Rafel, as reported by SAMU 061.
The alert was received at 22:40 hours and was immediately communicated to the Medical Emergency Coordination Center (CCUM), which mobilized a medicalized ambulance of Advanced Life Support, in addition to activating the response of the security forces.
The 061 emergency team attended and stabilized the injured at the scene, after which the severe polytrauma code was activated and he was transferred urgently to the Hospital de Can Misses.
At this time, it is not known if the driver of the vehicle involved has been identified or if any arrests have been made. The investigation into the exact circumstances of the hit-and-run remains in the hands of law enforcement.
