The Consell Insular de Ibiza has put out to tender this Tuesday the contracting of the two additional mobile units of Technical Inspection of Vehicles (ITV) that it has been announcing. The objective is to improve the service and reduce the waiting times suffered by users, especially in periods of high demand, in addition to avoiding scams and illegal charges for shifts.

The contract, published in the Public Sector Procurement Platform, has a base bidding budget of 1.46 million euros, excluding VAT, and will have an initial duration of one year, extendable. The procedure is open and subject to harmonized regulation, which allows the participation of national and international companies.

The commissioning of these two mobile units will increase the inspection capacity on the island, with a forecast of around 30,000 inspections. It is expected to reinforce the existing service, giving a more agile response to the growing demand for ITV in Ibiza, which intensifies at certain times of the year.

These new mobile units will also undertake specific inspections that will help to alleviate the workload of the fixed station of the Santa Gertrudis ITV, such as periodic inspections, those prior to vehicle registration or those necessary for the issuance of duplicates.

Interested companies may submit their bids until January 12, 2026, exclusively electronically, through the Public Sector Procurement Platform, where all the documentation for the procedure can also be consulted.
