While the Consell Insular de Ibiza is moving forward with the tender for two new mobile stations – whose location has not been defined as it is in the hands of the company awarded the contract – getting the Technical Inspection of Vehicles (ITV) has become an ordeal .
In addition to the traditional delays and waiting list, a new problem has now been added: a website that did not provide an appointment .

For several hours, the site to manage the shift at the Santa Gertrudis fixed station showed an error and did not allow to select the day and time.
“We are looking to see if it is a failure of the web”, explained from the Consell to the query of La Voz de Ibiza. Hours later, the inconvenience was solved. “It was a technical problem already solved,” they added.
Although the closest date is Monday, May 4. While at the Recinto Ferial mobile station, the closest date is Monday, April 13. That is, four months.
The tender for the two new stations announced this week by the consistory seeks to improve the service and reduce waiting times for users, especially during peak periods, as well as to avoid scams and illegal shift charges.
This new point will be added to the two already in operation for the revision of cars. In addition to the fixed station in Santa Gertrudis, the mobile station at the Fairgrounds -which has been in operation since May 2020- will continue to operate since the contract extension will be renewed next year.
