The Ibiza Town Hall has announced new traffic restrictions in the Marina area due to the progress of the rehabilitation and improvement works in the streets General Balanzat, Sa Carrossa and Plaza de Vila, actions included in the Tourism Sustainability Plan in the Marina, port and city of Ibiza, framed in the agreement signed between the Secretary of State for Tourism, the Tourism Strategy Agency of the Balearic Islands and the Consistory itself.
As reported by the City Council, the next phases of the intervention include excavations and the lifting of the pavement, works that require reinforcing safety measures for both pedestrians and operators. The need is particularly evident in the curve located inside the work area, where the available space is very limited.
For this reason, as of today, road traffic will be restricted to the maximum, allowing access only to public transport vehicles, emergencies and residents, whose passage will be guaranteed at all times. However, the Consistory recalls that the entry of vehicles that is not strictly necessary will be avoided while the planned tasks are prolonged.
