The storms predicted for this Monday have begun to discharge with force on the island of Ibiza, where this morning a strong hailstorm has been recorded in the town of San Rafael.

Emergencies have asked the public to exercise extreme caution in the possibility of new heavy rainfall, and has recalled the importance of following the official recommendations to avoid incidents.
The episode of adverse weather responds to the activation of the yellow warning for rain and storms decreed by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), and has led the Emergency Service 112 to activate the Severity Index 0 (IG0) of the Meteobal Plan in all the Balearic Islands.

The alert is in force since midnight and will remain at least until 14.59 hours today, Monday, as confirmed by the 112 through the social network X.
“Before heavy rains, secure doors and windows, do not leave objects that can be dragged out of the house and avoid flooding areas,” recalled 112.

Among the main safety tips disseminated by 112 Baleares on its official channel are:

At home: prevent water from entering, secure doors and windows, remove outdoor objects, do not go down to flood zones and stay in high areas.
