Once again, Spain has won the prestigious list of The World’s 100 Best Clubs, which highlights the best nightlife venues in the world in 2024 with 26 recognized clubs, followed by the United States with 22.
A total of 30 countries will have venues included in this edition of this renowned list of the world’s nightlife sector, which will be announced on social networks on November 20 at 12 noon. Some countries such as Australia, Kenya or Slovakia will be included for the first time and others that have already been present in the list, such as the United Kingdom, Italy, Colombia, Germany, Brazil or Croatia, will join them.
By destinations, Ibiza, Las Vegas, Barcelona, London, Bogota, Los Angeles and Madrid are the ones with the highest number of nightlife establishments included among the 100 best in the world. Along with these, Miami, New York, Singapore and Warsaw are some of the other destinations that will also be included in this year’s list.
It should be noted that a total of 420 venues from 65 countries were eligible to appear on The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2024 list, from which the 100 best have been chosen, one of which will win the Golden Moon Award for World’s Best Club 2024.
Golden Moon Awards gala cancelled in Valencia and solidarity campaign in the aftermath of the hurricane
As previously reported, the Golden Moon Awards Gala was going to be held in Valencia on November 20th, together with the National and International Nightlife Congresses. However, due to the tragedy in Valencia caused by the Dana and, as a show of solidarity with those affected, the state nightlife employers, Spain Nightlife, and the International Nightlife Association, International Nightlife Association, agreed to cancel these events and only publish in networks the list of The World’s 100 Best Clubs and the name of the winners of the Golden Moon Awards. Awards designed by sculptor José Piñero
The winners of this ninth edition of the Golden Moon Awards will receive an award designed by the renowned sculptor and craftsman José Piñero, who designed last year’s awards, inspired in that edition by Joan Miró since the event was held in Barcelona. This year, the statuettes return to their original format, by the same master José Piñero, who has devoted much of his career to the creation of sculptures linked to the field of catering and cocktails and who has been recognized by Forbes magazine as one of the most creative Spaniards in the business world. This original format stands out for its shiny golden moon, the characteristic image of these awards.
Solidarity campaign “Nightlife Stands With Valencia”.
It is worth remembering that the national and international nightlife associations agreed last November to launch a fundraising campaign to help the victims of the DANA, under the slogan Nightlife Stands With Valencia (El ocio nocturno está con Valencia). Through this solidarity action, nightlife venues in Spain and around the world, DJs, clients, and brands linked to nightlife, as well as collaborators in the sector, are urged to make donations that will go to the Valencia Food Bank, the Valencia Red Cross and the Valencia Diocesan Caritas. All this is still underway and is projected to be boosted by the wide repercussion of the announcement of the list of The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2024 and the winners of the Golden Moon Awards.
