The trajectory of Late Xou is a good example of the dimension of the communicator within public television. The program, which began broadcasting only on La 2, made the leap to Tuesday nights on La 1 after the arrival of José Pablo López to the presidency of RTVE. The program has averaged a 12% audience share in prime time, leading in many of its broadcasts and consolidating itself as a success for the channel.
The negotiations to renew Late Xou were complex. For several months there was speculation about its possible continuity, but in August RTVE began to broadcast the promos of the new season of the space, although everything had not yet been closed.
