The state nightlife employers’ association, Spain Nightlife, and the International Nightlife Association, International Nightlife Association (of which the Ibiza Nightlife Association is a member), have signed an agreement to promote nightlife in Ibiza. Ibiza Leisure AssociationAssociation is part of), are promoting from this Tuesday a campaign to raise funds to help the victims of the hurricane DANA that has devastated the Valencian Community.. Under the slogan“Nightlife Stands With Valencia”, the initiative will allow nightlife venues in Spain and around the world, DJs, customers, as well as brands linked to nightlife and industry partners to make donations that will go to the Food Bank of Valencia, Red Cross and Caritas Diocese. To this end, the International Nightlife Association has opened a bank account at BBVA, where anyone can make a donation, including their name and the message #SOSValencia (although donations can also be made anonymously). Spain Nightlife, as a thank you, will publish weekly on social networks the names of all those people and companies that have made a donation and have left their name when making it. In order to make this campaign reach as many people as possible, this solidarity initiative will be disseminated on social networks so that renowned DJs and businessmen of the sector will post their videos in support of those affected by the DANA, showing their solidarity and giving visibility to this campaign that seeks to raise funds to directly help the Valencian society.

The events that were to be held in Valencia have been cancelled in solidarity with those affected by the DANA.
As previously reported, Valencia was to host on November 19 and 20 the V National Nightlife Congress and the X International Nightlife Congress, as well as the IX Golden Moon Awards gala (all organized by Spain Nightlife and the International Nightlife Association in collaboration with the local association Valencia Nightlife and the Valencia Hospitality Federation) but the events have been canceled in solidarity with the victims and with those affected by the DANA. “The tragedy in Valencia shocks us all and, as a sector, we want to stand by the people who are suffering the consequences of this terrible catastrophe, on the one hand, we want to send our support and affection to the families of the dead and missing victims and, on the other hand, we want to provide direct help to the victims by raising funds,” detailed Joaquim Boadas, secretary general of Spain Nightlife and the International Nightlife Association. “Our intention is to create an international movement of support for those affected throughout the Community in which the entire nightlife sector can participate, in order to help as much as possible in the face of this unprecedented catastrophe that is hitting so many people,” said Boadas.
The winners of a Golden Moon Award and the list of The World’s 100 Best Clubs will be announced on November 20.
