The Eivissa Clàssica Festival culminates this Sunday, December 14, at 7 p.m., with an exceptional program entitled “Voices of freedom and solitude”, a journey through some of the most emblematic passages of Romanticism for violin, horn and piano. The concert, which will take place at the Espai Cultural Can Ventosa, will bring together three internationally renowned musicians: Lina Tur, Federico Cuevas and Llorenç Prats.
A journey through musical romanticism
The repertoire will offer a careful selection of works by Johannes Brahms and Robert Schumann, two pillars of Romanticism. Among the most outstanding pieces is the famous Trio for horn in E♭ major, Op. 40, a fundamental work in chamber music literature.
The program will also include the Scherzo from the FAE Sonata and the Adagio and Allegro, Op. 70for horn and piano, pieces that explore in depth the expressiveness and intimacy of the period.
Three interpreters with an international stamp
The Ibizan violinist and conductor Lina Tur Bonet has established herself as one of the most important Spanish performers on the current scene. With a career that has led her to collaborate with Abbado, Gardiner, Savall and to perform on stages such as Wigmore Hall, Concertgebouw or the Berliner Philharmonie, Tur Bonet is also concertmaster of Le Concert des Nations. His recording career exceeds twenty recordings awarded with prizes such as Diapason d’Or or Choc de Classica. He combines his artistic activity with teaching at the Reina Sofia School and the MHS Franz Liszt in Weimar.

The Ibizan pianist Llorenç Prats develops an intense activity as a soloist and chamber musician in Europe and South America. Trained at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest, where he obtained the highest qualifications, he has been awarded in several competitions and has performed with the OSBU, OSIB and OSCE. He is a member of the Trio Colombram and the Duo Artemis, and combines his artistic career with teaching at the Conservatori Superior de les Illes Balears and the Felanitx Conservatory.
The Ibizan trumpet player Federico Cuevas Ruiz began his training on the island and made his debut at the age of 16 with the Orquestra Simfònica Ciutat d’Eivissa. After studying at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, he works as a freelance musician in prestigious ensembles such as The Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, Freiburger Barockorchester or Beethoven Orchester Bonn. He is currently a member of Concerto Köln and Das Neue Mannheimer Orchester, with whom he has recorded Mozart’s Concerto K.495.
