The Partido Popular of Ibiza faces the month of November with the celebration of the local congresses in its five municipalities, a process of internal renewal that bets on the continuity in the current presidencies of the local boards. Voting will be staggered throughout the month.
The current local leaders of the formation -LourdesCardona, Miquel Jerez, Javier Marí, Pepe Sala and Andreu Roig-have been confirmed as the only candidates for reelection in their respective boards.
The internal elections begin next November 14 in Sant Josep 14th of November in Sant Josep de sa Talaiafollowed by Santa Eulària des Riu on the 15th. The calendar will continue with Sant Joan de Labritja on the 20th, Sant Antoni de Portmany on the 27th, and will end on November 28th in Ibiza town (Vila)..
The Deputy Secretary of Organization, Marilina Ribas, explained that this process is part of the regional strategy promoted by Marga Prohens since September, with the aim of strengthening the territorial structure of the party and consolidate its political project.
Confidence in equipment and balance sheet
Ribas underlined that the permanence of the current leaders responds to the “continued effort of the local groups“, a work that, he assured, was translated into the electoral support of May 2023.
“The essence of the PP Ibiza lies in being a project that meets the needs of Ibizans, with teams at the service of progress and welfare,” he added, highlighting the joint work of the party’s organic and institutional structures.
