10 premises converted into substandard housing by squatters in Vila evicted

A considerable operation of the National Police of Ibiza has been mounted this Wednesday in the area of Ses Feixes, in front of Port Nautic, to execute a court order to evict 10 premises converted into substandard housing by squatters.

Although the launch had been scheduled for July, it could only take place this morning after some postponements.

In any case, the operation has been carried out without incident for the moment, so it has not been necessary the intervention of the troops with riot shields as there was no opposition from the inhabitants.

In many cases, squatters have left voluntarily, while other premises had to be opened by a summoned locksmith.
