The Ibiza City Council has approved this Thursday in plenary session the imposition of a penalty of 1,500 euros to a person who walked a dog considered potentially dangerous (PPP) without a muzzle or leash, in breach of the Municipal Ordinance for Animal Protection.
The infraction is aggravated because the animal, which was loose, ended up killing another dog, according to the sanctioning file.
The fine corresponds to a serious infraction, as established by municipal regulations, which require that all dogs classified as PPP must always be kept on a leash and muzzled, both in public spaces and in shared transit areas. Failure to comply with these obligations, in addition to the risk to people and animals, can result in high financial penalties.
