An elderly man has been taken urgently by ambulance to a hospital after being run over this afternoon on Isidor Macabich Avenue, at the height of the Gran Vía bar. According to the first testimonies gathered by Diario de Ibiza, the responsible for the hit-and-run would be the driver of a small bicycle, who remained in the place after the incident. The event attracted the attention of numerous passers-by who came to follow closely what was happening, generating expectation in the busy avenue. Emergency teams from 061 rushed to the scene to assist the injured man, while a detachment of the local police also went to the area to manage the situation. The cyclist was subjected to a breathalyzer test, although the results have not been disclosed at this time. Authorities continue to investigate the details of the accident to clarify the circumstances under which it occurred.
