The socialist municipal group of Vila has denounced this Monday the non-payment of 113,000 euros of overtime, complementary services and assistance to trials of the Local Police of Ibiza, and has blamed it on the “badeconomicforecasts” of the government team and the increase of the budget “derived” to the department of Fiestas. The Socialists have assured in a statement that, in an urgent meeting, requested by the unions UGT, CCOO and SPPME, held on November 29, the mayor Rafael Triguero informed the union representatives that the difficulty in the payment of the month of December is a consequence of the “lack of liquidity” in the budget item. He has also moved them, according to the socialists, that “works” with Human Resources and economic services to provide a solution to this fact, although “without guaranteeing a specific deadline.” From the PSOE have pointed out that, in case of not having liquidity to be able to meet the payments, “it would be necessary to initiate a budget amendment file, which would not be effective since the administrative processing would delay the payment of this economic item”. They have also accused the government team of having “arbitrarily” the money of citizenship as it “redirectsitto departments that interest him more, such as the Festival“, something that has been seen in the last plenary, according to socialists, when the government team “transferred different items to popular festivals.” For its part, the first deputy mayor of Human Resources and Economic Resources, Gema Marí, has responded that the socialist complaint “is totally out of place” and that “again” demonstrate their “ignorance about budget implementation and the functioning of this institution.” He has also stated that the expanded items for the area of Fiestas do not affect “at all” the payment of overtime, supplementary services and assistance of the Local Police.
