Carl Cox, born July 29, 1962 in Oldham, England, is a British DJ and producer considered one of the most influential figures in the history of electronic music. With a career spanning more than four decades, his impact on house, techno and other genres has been fundamental to the evolution of the global scene.
He began his career as a DJ in the early 1980s, quickly becoming known for his ability to mix records with three decks, an uncommon technique at the time. His love of disco, soul and funk led him to explore emerging electronic sounds, culminating in his transition to house and techno at the end of the decade. With the arrival of the “Summer of Love” in 1988, Carl Cox became a key figure in the UK acid house movement, earning the nickname “The Three Deck Wizard”.

Carl Cox is not only a DJ, but also an innovator and entrepreneur. In the last decades, he has created three record labels of his own.
