Next Monday, January 27th, the Consell de Ibiza will begin construction work on the new traffic circle at the entrance to Sant Josep, a key project to improve traffic flow in the area. During the four months that the works are expected to last, drivers will have to adapt to changes in the circulation.
Changes in traffic
The works will affect the traffic lane direction Sant Josep – Ibiza, which will be temporarily diverted by Diputado Josep Ribas Avenue. For its part, the lane towards Ibiza – Sant Josep will remain open at all times, ensuring normal access to residents and visitors to the area. To facilitate the flow of vehicles during peak hours, the Department of Road Infrastructures has announced that both lanes will remain operational at certain times, thus reducing possible congestion.
Impact on public transportation
Buses and school buses will not be affected, as a specific alternative route will be set up to allow them to maintain their usual routes.
Thanks to users
From the Consell, they have expressed their gratitude to the users of this road for their understanding of the inconveniences that may arise. In addition, they have reiterated their commitment to maintain the execution times within the established deadline. The new traffic circle is part of a series of projects to modernize and improve road infrastructure on the island, with the aim of providing a safer and more efficient circulation in one of the key accesses to the municipality of Sant Josep.
