Drug trafficking and counterfeit banknotes in Ibiza: the harsh penalty faced by two men

The facts date back to 2017 in Ibiza and, in its brief of provisional conclusions, the Public Prosecutor's Office recounts several purchases of ONCE coupons with counterfeit bills as well as a guitar valued at 600 euros. In the searches, drugs worth more than 7,000 euros were found.

The First Section of the Provincial Court holds this Tuesday (11.30 a.m.) the preliminary hearing of the trial against two men accused of drug trafficking and of putting counterfeit money in circulation.

The prosecution claims ten years for each of them for counterfeiting coins and a fine of 6,000 euros and, in addition, five years for one of them for drug trafficking and a fine of 22,000 euros.

The facts date back to 2017 in Ibiza and in its brief of provisional conclusions, the Public Prosecutor’s Office recounts several purchases of ONCE coupons with counterfeit bills as well as a guitar valued at 600 euros, also paid with counterfeit 50 bills, through a third person.

They also used minors to buy a backpack.

As a result of the complaints, several searches were carried out in which drugs worth more than 7,000 euros were found on the illicit market.
