The companion of the motorcyclist who died in the accident on Avenida Sant Joan in Ibiza has been discharged from hospital. He is a young man of 20 years old, who was traveling as a passenger on the motorcycle involved in the accident and was injured in the incident that took place at the gates of New Year’s Eve in one of the main roads of the city.
The accident took place in the center of Ibiza, at the height of a busy shopping area, and resulted in the death of the driver of the motorcycle, as confirmed by the Local Police of Ibiza to La Voz de Ibiza. The exact causes of the accident are still under investigation, although initial indications are that no other vehicles were involved.
Favorable evolution of the injured
According to the information provided by the Health Area of the pitiusas, the companion was treated after the accident at the Hospital Can Misses and received medical discharge hours later, after midnight, once verified the favorable evolution of the injuries suffered. No further details have been revealed about his condition, beyond the fact that the injuries were serious, as had been reported at first.
The young man was traveling with the deceased motorcyclist at the time of the accident, which caused a large deployment of emergency services, with the intervention of ambulances from SAMU 061 and the Policlinic Group, as well as police officers.

As already published in La Voz de Ibiza, the authorities are working to clarify the circumstances of the accident, which took place without, in principle, a collision with other vehicles. The initial hypothesis points to a fall of the motorcycle, which must be confirmed by the investigation.
The accident caused traffic jams and a large police presence on Avenida Sant Joan, while medical assistance and traffic regulation work was being carried out in a busy traffic area.

The death of the motorcyclist caused a strong commotion in Ibiza, especially because it took place on an important date and in a central enclave of the city. According to La Voz de Ibiza, the deceased was Raúl Tribaldos, a 22-year-old Ibizan resident of the Playa d’en Bossa area.
According to a driver who witnessed the accident, “the motorcycle was going at high speed passing the cars”, but at one point “it braked suddenly, the motorcycle got on one wheel because it was going too fast, and there fell” both occupants.
