“First we have to fix the country. Elections cannot be held. It is impossible for people to vote “No, it will take some time,” said the Republican magnate in an interview with NBC, in which he dismissed the one-month deadline suggested in one of the questions: “No, it will take some time.

On the other hand, he has pointed to U.S. Vice President JD Vance and Secretaries of State Marco Rubio and Defense Pete Hegseth, as well as his advisor Stephen Miller, as prominent parts of a group with “different expertise” that will oversee Washington’s role in Venezuela.
However, he answered with a concise “I” to the question of who is ultimately responsible for U.S. management in the Caribbean country.

The crisis in Venezuela has put Meliá and Hesperia, the main Spanish hotel companies in the country, on alert.
His words coincide with the line of argument he has established since the intervention against Maduro, in the framework of which he warned already this Sunday that it was he himself who was “in charge” of Venezuela, in statements to the press in which he avoided addressing the possibility of forcing an electoral convocation or a release of Venezuelan political prisoners.
Meanwhile, the Presidency of Venezuela has been taken over by the person who held the Vice-Presidency under Maduro, Delcy Rodriguez, who, according to Trump, has been cooperating with Washington.
In addition, the U.S. president has indicated that he will soon decide whether his government will maintain or withdraw the sanctions imposed against the Venezuelan leader.
He also stated that the United States is not at war with Venezuela, but “with those who traffic drugs, (…) with those who dump their prisons, their drug addicts and their mental institutions” in the United States.
