Tense minutes in the center of Ibiza. An alert for a supposedly unconscious elderly person in a pharmacy mobilized the Local Police, who moved urgently to the place carrying a defibrillator (DESA) in case of a vital emergency. During that trip, the police vehicle collided with a fence in Vara de Rey, although the officers were unharmed.

As reported by the City Council of Ibiza, the warning received indicated that it was an elderly person who was unconscious in a pharmacy, which is why the urgent intervention was activated.

A young woman attended by 061

However, once in the establishment, the agents found that it was not an elderly person, but a 29-year-old woman, a worker at the establishment, who had already regained consciousness when they arrived.

The young woman was attended by the 061 health service and later transferred to the Can Misses Hospital for a medical evaluation.

The City Council has indicated that the incident occurred during the movement motivated by the nature of the warning and has confirmed that, despite the impact against the fence, the officers were not injured.
