The Health Area Management Department recalled that during the time Navarro was on maternity leave, the deputy medical director of Primary Care was Teresa Aparicio, who assumed her duties on an interim basis.
Six departures in the management team
Navarro’s departure is not an isolated event. During the current legislature, the management structure of the Pitiusa Health Area has suffered notable instability, with five resignations and one dismissal among its eleven initial members.
One of the most recent episodes took place at the end of September, when Sausan Sayed, medical director of the Health Area, and Manuel Deiros, deputy director of the Surgical Area, tendered their resignations. Both gave three months’ notice of their decision before it became effective.
Also in September, Ana María Jiménez, deputy director of Primary Care Nursing, was removed from her position.
In December last year, Carmen Costa, Deputy Director of Management and General Services, resigned. Her position is currently occupied by Cristian Coll.
Another notable departure was that of Ana María Ribas, who resigned in April as Director of Nursing.
In addition to these departures, there is the case of Javier Marí, who had to leave the position of Director of Management and General Services because he did not meet the academic requirements. Subsequently, after the access criteria were modified, he was rehired.
