The Christmas spirit is already felt in Sant Joan de Labritja, where the City Council has presented a festive agenda designed for residents and visitors to enjoy a variety of activities adapted to all audiences. In addition, the program combines consolidated events, workshops, music and traditional celebrations that seek to strengthen participation and community atmosphere in these dates so marked. In this way, the municipality is once again committed to an active, participatory and full of reasons to share with the family December.
4×4 Exhibition: adrenaline to start December
One of the first major events will take place on December 6 and 7 at the Can Cudula estate, where the 3rd 4×4 Exhibition will be held. On this occasion, the event will bring together numerous off-road vehicles and motor enthusiasts in two days that will also feature bar service and a festive atmosphere increasingly consolidated in the municipality.
The inscriptions include insurance, welcome pack and drinks for participants, which adds an additional attraction for those who want to join. The event is organized by the 4×4 Bonsai Ibiza club and the Comissió de Festes de Sant Llorenç, with the collaboration of the Ajuntament de Sant Joan and the Consell Insular d’Eivissa. Thus, the test remains as one of the most anticipated activities of the beginning of December.
Fira de Sa Matança: tradition and local flavor
The most rural and gastronomic essence will arrive on December 13 with the III Fira de Sa Matança, to be held in Sant Llorenç de Balàfia from 12:00 to 19:00 hours. Also, this fair aims to claim and value the tradition of the pig slaughter, a cultural reference on the island that each year gains more followers.
During the day, attendees can enjoy tastings, typical products, performances and activities for young and old. In addition, this event has become an essential meeting point for those who want to connect with the Ibizan roots. In short, it is an event that combines heritage, gastronomy and conviviality in a festive and family atmosphere.
A December to enjoy with the family
The Sant Joan Christmas calendar also includes children’s workshops, concerts, school performances, exhibitions and activities that invite you to live Christmas in community. Finally, there will be two highly anticipated moments: the visit of the royal page and the arrival of the Three Wise Men, which will put the finishing touch to a holiday full of excitement.
All the detailed programming can be consulted on the official website of the City Council: www.santjoandelabritja.com.
The Consistory invites citizens to actively participate in a holiday designed to share, enjoy and celebrate the Christmas tradition in a close and family atmosphere. Therefore, Sant Joan is once again positioned as one of the Ibizan municipalities with a more complete and diverse Christmas offer.
