The Second Section of the Provincial Court holds this Thursday (13.00 hours) the preliminary hearing of the trial against two men and a woman accused of committing 16 burglaries in houses and hotels in Ibiza.

The prosecution is asking the defendants for sentences totaling 18 years in prison and compensation to the victims for the money and objects stolen during the summers of 2023 and 2024 on the island of Ibiza.
According to the indictment, the two men entered on 16 occasions to rob hotels and villas where tourists with high purchasing power stay in order to take money and valuables.
The woman, according to the document, was in charge of keeping watch in the vicinity of the homes so that the other two would not be discovered when they committed the robberies.
The document refers to a search of the home where the three defendants resided and in which a diamond detector, gloves and other instruments used to carry out the robberies were found, as well as a backpack and a purse belonging to the victims.
