This upward trend was particularly marked in the municipality of Sant Antoni, where drug-related crimes tripled, according to data published by the central government’s Ministry of the Interior.
The report, which includes criminal offenses recorded in towns with more than 20,000 inhabitants, places Sant Antoni as the Ibizan municipality with the highest increase in crime, with 15.2% more crimes than in 2024.
On the other hand, the municipality of Vila managed to slightly reduce its figures, registering a decrease of 1.9%.
Drug trafficking in the spotlight
Of the more than 10,600 criminal offenses registered in Ibiza up to September, 332 correspond to drug trafficking, compared to 237 the previous year.

Injuries, theft and online scams also on the rise
In addition to drug trafficking, the crime balance shows an upturn in serious and less serious crimes of injury and tumultuous quarrels, which grew by 6.6% in the island as a whole.
These types of infractions doubled in Sant Antoni, where they went from 34 to 71 cases, while in Ibiza town they remained stable.
Another area showing a growing trend is cybercrime. Computer scams increased by 8.8% on the island, with a total of 1,231 complaints registered, representing more than 11% of total island crime.
In Santa Eulària (+22.9%) and Sant Antoni (+28.7%) this type of crime grew above average.

Decrease in sex crimes and robberies with force
In contrast, there was a significant drop in several indicators. Crimes against sexual freedom fell by 17.7% across the island, with the sharpest declines in Sant Antoni (-35%) and Sant Josep (-37.9%).
There was also a decrease in burglaries in homes and establishments, with a reduction of 17.5% at the island level and up to 65% less in Santa Eulària.
Other crimes with a downward trend were vehicle thefts (-18.9%) and kidnappings, of which none were recorded in 2025.
Vila, the only municipality with a decrease
Of the four municipalities analyzed (Sant Joan is not included in the statistics as it does not reach the threshold of 20,000 inhabitants), only Ibiza town managed to contain crime, with a slight decrease of 1.9%.
The total number of offenses decreased from 3,549 in 2024 to 3,483 in 2025. During this period, burglary (-28.6 %), vehicle theft (-20.4 %) and sexual assault (-33.3 %) decreased, while theft and cybercrime increased.
In contrast, Santa Eulària (+3.3%) and Sant Josep (+4.7%) experienced moderate increases, and Sant Antoni was consolidated as the municipality with the most worrying upturn, largely driven by the increase in drug trafficking.
